With fall being just around the corner, we decided it was time for a post about boots. But not just any boots – we wanted boots that would work for women with big calves and/or wide feet. (The struggle to find those is real, we know.) So here are our favorites (with a bonus tip from Leah on how to save yourself some heartache when looking for boots!).
My best tip for boot shopping is to measure your calf circumference. Most boot descriptions will have that information, and it makes shopping so much easier. [Editor’s note: I was today years old when I realized I have been shopping for boots wrong my entire life. ~Steph] To some brands wide calf means 18 inches, and some it means 24…so knowing what you need ahead of time is a big help.
I have these boots and love them; they come in wide and extra wide.
These are great casual boots for thicker ankles, the sweater material doesn’t pinch or give you an ankle muffin top, and they are cozy hygge goals!
These are my very favorite boots and they fit my sturdy Eastern European calves perfectly and don’t squish them.
I just got these ankle boots though to wear with dresses and leggings stuff and I am in love with them.
These are my ALL TIME FAVORITES! I wear them with shorts, leggings, jeans and dresses! Now I do live I Texas, but having a pair of cowboy boots with a wide calf is amazing if this is your style!
These MukLuk boots are rad when you want something comfy with a chunky heel. And like Lea said, no ankle muffin top!!
So, what do y’all think? How much do you love some of these boots with our fall dress picks? Did we miss your favorite pair of boots? Let us know in the comments!
